*Eat Ice cubes, they give you the feel like your eating something and the coldness can actually burn calories.

*Drink ICE cold water, as I said before the ice will make your body work harder to keep your temp. up!

*If you have hunger pains, curl up in a ball.

*Take daily vitamins, if ya don't you'll be more hungry and it helps keep you looking good!

*If you have a real bad craving for something that's evil, Just taste it but don't swallow! Enjoy every bite!

*Take a cold shower.. you know why! :)

*I Don't know if you should/want to do this but if you have real bad hunger then drink one half of a liter to a liter of water. Fills you up but makes you look fat! The next day you'll get rid of it not like that piece of bread that you had to calm the cravings!

*Go take a nap.. you should get enough sleep! If you don't get al least 6 hours then your appitite is increased by 15%!

*If you love a certain food, save the wrappers even after you've eaten it. Smell it when you're hungry.

*Sit up straight. You'll burn at least ten percent more calories sitting upright than reclining.

*use kelp pills, it help boost metabolism.

*Never eat anything bigger that you fist.

*Drink 2tbsp of vinegar before the meal, so it well help suck out the fat out of it. Careful it may burn your mouth..

*Go to the kitchen often, and pretend your snacking, take a bite out of something and take a long time, look in the fridge stuff like that. People will always think your eating!

*Go Vegan or Vegetarian or just cut out red meat. Meat product's have a lot of fat& sat. fat in them.

*Have a peppermint, peppermints decrease hunger. Watch out.. 3 of those little things have 60 cals in them! *Try to stay out of the house as much as possible! Better yet.. stay away from food as long as possible!

*Drink water instead of eating, sometimes when your really thirsty your body might trick you into eating. Have at least 8 glasses of some kind of water
*Drink two quarts of water each day. This helps control your appetite. Sometimes a feeling of hunger is actually thirst. Additionally, water is necessary to carry away the breakdown byproducts of fat. Carry a little sport bottle at all times. If you feel hungry, take a drink.

*Use small plates and eating utensils. You will feel that you have eaten more, because the portions will look bigger. This will reinforce your mental perception of eating a "full plate."

*Slow down your eating pace every way you can. For instance, if you are right-handed, eat with your left and vice versa. Put your fork down after each bite and don't pick it up until you have completely swallowed the last bite and taken a drink of water.

*Chew every bite at least thirty times. Your food will taste better and you will be much more satisfied. Don't swallow until all the flavor is gone from of each bite.

*Brush your teeth after every meal. Brush and floss after your evening meal; many people agree this helps avoid late-night cravings for snacks.

*Both sodas and juices are loaded with calories that are simple carbohydrates. These trigger insulin production and hunger and are pretty much "empty calories," lacking other important nutrients such as protein. Drink water instead.

*Pay attention to when and what you are eating. Ask yourself: "Do I really want to eat this?"

*Don't keep junk food snacks around the house. Eat healthy snacks like carrots, celery-even beef jerky. Avoid eating lots of fruit, which are high in carbohydrates; reasonable quantities are ok.

*Eat lots of fiber. Fiber is great for helping you feel full as well as helping to cleanse your digestive track. The natural cleansing helps improve both your energy level and overall feeling of wellness.

*Before going to a restaurant or party, think about what you will eat. When you get there, remember your plan. Alcoholic beverages can add lots of calories. Drink a glass of skim milk or some healthy snacks before you leave.

*Don't get discouraged when you plateau. Realize this up front. Plateauing is healthy and necessary. During these times, focus on drinking more water and a little extra walking each day. Remember the three laws of success in dieting: "Consistency, consistency and consistency." *Use visualization. Picture yourself as you would like to be and focus on that picture as often as possible. Find an old photo that you like of yourself when you were thinner. Have copies made and put one in your purse or wallet, on the refrigerator door, at your desk, on the bathroom mirror and anywhere you can think of to help you visualize your new, thinner self.

*Above all-WRITE IT DOWN. Keep an eating diary. Carry a piece of paper folded up or an index card in your pocket, purse or wallet and write down everything you eat during the day. Look up the foods in a reference book at home in the evening and add up the calories actually consumed.

*Drink one glass of water every hour. Set your watch alarm to go off every hour to remind yourself.

*Eat negative calorie foods at least 2 times a day.

*Weigh yourself before and AFTER every time you eat. Not only will it eliminate unnecessary eating, but it will make you want to eat LESS when you see the numbers creep up.

*Exercise 2 times the amount of calories you eat....for example, if you eat 300 calories you must exercise 600 off. This will MAKE you keep your calories low (unless you want to spend all day exercising!) and let you lose weight SOO much faster.

*Diet coke is always in hand. If you get hungry reach for it and sit down with a magazine to read.

Fasting Facts:

-Water fasting cleanses the body, as the stored food (fat) is used rapidly and the body simultaneously expels built up toxins.
-If you are fasting for weight loss (um, yeah!!) and are following a juice or tea fast, a few days on just water will intensify the fast.
-Fasting can clear the skin and whiten the eyes and initiates rapid weight loss (yay!).
-Water fasting is not recommend for a first fast as toxins are released into the blood very quickly.
-Fasting makes it easy to overcome bad habits and addictions.
-Fasting allows you to have taste appreciation for clean, natural foods.
-Going on a fast can give you the motivation and the enthusiasm you need to make a fresh start! (And we all need a fresh start from time to time.)

Fasting Info:

-Distilled water is best for water fasting.
-Juice made w/fresh, organic fruits is best for juice fasting.
-Do not drink orange or tomato juice on a fast.
-You can dilute your pure juices w/water.
-Green juices made from leafy green veggies in a juicer are great for detoxifying.
-Pure veggie broths are good (with no seasons added).
-Herbal teas and honey can aid in fasting.
-Typical fasts (going totally w/out any solid foods) usually are performed as 3 day, 7 day, 10 day, 14 day or 21 day increments. 28+ days should be supervised. (Or at least the person fasting should let someone know they are doing it.)
-Break a fast by eating raw fruits and veggies the first five-seven days after your fast. Go back to solids slowly.
-Do not binge or overeat after the fast (or during!). Try to discover the amount of food your body really needs.
-Meditate, go for a walk, take lots of naps, journal, listen to music, take long, warm bathes and relax. This is your time for healing, losing weight and gaining self-control!

More fasting tips:

-Many people experience nausea and headaches during fasting and this is often caused by caffeine withdrawal (and we all love our caffeine here) so I recommend, if possible, if you are a heavy soda or coffee drinker start tapering off about a week before the start of your fast. This should do the trick and make it a little easier and your headaches won't be so painful.
-After your fast, when you start to eat normally try very hard not to gorge. The calories you take in directly after your fast will stay with you a lot longer than those acquired when your metabolism is up. Also, you could experience pain and become very ill.
-Don't eat a big meal the night before your fast and never end your fast with heavy foods. Keep it light w/raw or lightly steamed veggies and fruits.
-Dry skin brushing helps your skin to breathe easier and can help eliminate uric acid and other poisons from your system, taking the strain off your kidneys and liver. Start at the feet and stroke your skin towards the heart. Do these before you shower.
-Epson Salt baths are soothing to sore-achy, weak muscles and also help eliminate toxins through the skin. Warm Epson Salt baths are great during fasts.
-There are many types of fasts, here is another: The milk and fruit fast: 3x a day, a glass of milk, raw fruit and water in between.

Some more tips during your fast:

-Try to get plenty of sleep. And if you can't stand your stomach growling the first few days, and are tired of downing the H20, take a nap... listen to some soothing music and drift off.
-Get a massage. If you can afford it, or have your partner or a close friend give you a good rub down or deep tissue massage. This really soothes muscles and makes you calm and sleepy. It helps when you're having trouble sleeping due to hunger during your fast. Plus, it awakens your body, pushes the blood around, etc.
-You may feel weak during your fast so if this is the case, be careful of black outs and don't exercise until you've finished the fast... Stick to stretching, light walking and deep breathing.
-If you suffer from diabetes, hypoglycemia or other similar conditions, please be very, very careful fasting. I'd say don't fast at all but if you feel you can do it safely, you may need a slice of avocado or a banana... You could also add protein powder to your juices.
-Sometimes during a fast, the person will experience back pain. If so, a cold pack will help.
-Canker sores can be healed quicker by dabbing tea tree oil or vitamin E on it.

-If you are just too tired on your water fast, go to a juice fast and if you are already juicing, drink more carrot and melon juices for energy.

Water fasts are always the hardest but fastest for weight loss and detox.

Juice fast is next best and somewhat easier, especially for first time fasters.

You'll lose pounds faster if you have a fast metabolism and slower if you have a slower metabolism. On average, fasts allow you to lose 1-2 lbs per day. Some experience more around 3-5 lbs per day. You'll lose the most and the quickest during the beginning of your fast.

*Drink water! This is the #1 rule for both ana and mia. It fills you up when you are hungry and makes purging easier.
The general rule is also that hot water fills you up more and ice cold water helps you to burn more calories since it
lowers your body temperature so your body has to work harder to stay warm.

*Chew sugar free gum or mints constantly. I am never without one or the other in my mouth. The benefits are endless: it
kills cravings, keeps your mouth full so you can't binge, burns calories by chewing, peppermint flavors suppress
appetites, and prevents bad breath if you are in ketosis.

*Tea of Coffee are an Ana’s best friend. Drink with NO CREAM OR MILK and artificial sweetener ONLY. Tea is especially
great because it comes in so many different flavors and is calorie free, as opposed to black coffee which has an albeit
small amount. The caffeine is also great for raising metabolism.

*Cut food into tiny pieces. Put your fork down between bites. Chew everything a certain number of times. Eat in patterns.
Develop systems of eating. All of this helps to make food a mere object rather than the devil itself.

*Take a sip of water or other calorie-free liquid between each bite. You feel full much faster, partially because the body
often mistakes thirst for hunger, so by drinking, one actually reduces the amount of food their body needs to eat.

*If you are really craving something specific and are on the verge of a binge, go into the kitchen, prepare it, and then
eat it-but do not swallow! Chew it slowly, enjoy it, and then spit it out. Immediately after that rinse your mouth with water
at least three times before swallowing a sip so you do not accidentally ingest any calories.

*If you are about to binge, pick a safe food, preferably negative calorie (pickles, celery, blueberries, etc.) and eat it non-
stop for up to half an hour, taking a sip of water with each bite. Often you will not be able to even get up to half an hour,
and you will be full so the desire to binge will be gone, but you haven't eaten anything "bad."

*No Sugar Added, Fat-Free Fudge Pops. These are the reason I am alive. They have 40 calories in one and taste
exactly like chocolate ice cream. If you must binge, try eating a whole box of these. There are 560 calories in a box of
14, and they are easy to purge.

*Do not ever eat anything you do not know the exact amount of calories in. Sometimes you can fool yourself into thinking
you've eaten less than you have. Remember, numbers do not lie.

*Track progress by measurements and not the scale alone. Scales are affected by everything from the weather to the
time of day, but the numbers on a measuring tape are affected by nothing except the actual size of your body.

*Keep a food diary. Start your own pro-ana page. Make an ed scrapbook. Anything that keeps your mind on not eating
is a good thing.

*When you want to eat, exercise for at least 15 minutes first. I like to put on nice lyrical music, usually Charlotte Martin or
sometimes classical, and do bare work. It not only distracts you from eating but burns calories and benefits your body as
well.

*Buy a pair of expensive jeans at least one size too small. Try them on right before you eat. You will either not want to
eat or will eat less. When you lose enough weight to fit into them properly, reward yourself by buying another pair, again
one or two sizes too small.

*Eat low-calorie foods with very intense flavors. Often times you just crave taste. Chili peppers, anything pickled,
peppermints, and very concentrated bullion (make it with half the water recommended) are all good options.

*Make a list of foods that you are absolutely never ever allowed to eat. Write it down and keep it somewhere accessible.
On this list should be things like doughnuts, cake, cream, soda, fatty meats like duck, and any dairy product not made
with skim milk. If you really like any of these things and find it hard to resist, prepare it, but then put something disgusting
all over it (like pouring vinegar on a cream-filled doughnut). Take a bite. You will find you have totally lost your taste for
the food.

*Diet pills are amazing, but you have to be careful. Try to eat something small and safe when you take one, like an apple
or a small piece of grilled chicken. If you don't then you will get awful side effects. The same goes for taking more than
the recommended amount. I have taken four stacker 3 pills with no food and almost ended up dead because of it. Use,
but with caution.

*If you must go out to eat, go to the restaurant’s web page before hand, and find something safe to eat. Do not eat
bread or appetizers. Order a salad with dressing on the side if everyone else is having appetizers. If there is nothing
safe on the menu most places will make you a plain piece of grilled chicken or fish if you ask.

*Never drink soda. There is absolutely no reason to. Even diet soda will actually make you look bloated and weigh a little
more.
